It begins in the fertile land of the islands of
Sumatera, PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero)'s operation are
built on the abundance of natural resources in Sumatera, sophisticated
cultivation technology and environmental friendly management, financial
resources, and most important on its human resources. All those
key assets have been harnessed to build widely diversified agroindustrial
operation developed around Oil Palm, Rubber, Sugar Cane, and Tea
estates.
With its plantations scattered in three provinces : 12 units of
business in Lampung, 13 units of business in South Sumatera, and
4 units of business in Bengkulu, the company owns a total concession
land of 129.521hectares
The history of PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero) began in 1996
as the result of consolidation development areas of PT Perkebunan
X, PT Perkebunan XXXI (Persero), former Project of PT Perkebunan
XI (Persero) in Lahat, and former Project of PT Perkebunan XXIII
in Bengkulu. With its head office in Bandar Lampung, PT Perkebunan
Nusantara VII (Persero) was established on 11 March 1996 pursuant
to Sovernment Regulation N0.12 in 1996 and the deed No.40 dated
March 11, 1996 drawn-up and legalized by Harun Kamil, S.H, and ratified
by Decree of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia
No.C28335.HT.01 in 1996
The company's achievements over the four years of its establishment
range from the operation of extensive plantations and several processing
units with access to the global market to its foreign exchange earnings
and the trickledown of benefits to local community. All this bear
witness of PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero) contribution to
Indonesia's on going struggle to bring prosperity to its people
and represents the results of hard wok in fulfillment of the goals
and expectation pledged at the founding of the company.
